Clare Guss-West MA
Clare Guss-West is a former professional dancer Second Stride, choreographer and opera director, dance educator, holistic health practitioner, author and specialist in Attention and Focus teaching strategies in dance. Chair of the IADMS Dance for Health committee, Clare is also one of the co-directors of the Dance & Creative Wellness Foundation.
David Leventhal
David Leventhal is a founding teacher and Program Director for Dance for PD®, a program of the Mark Morris Dance Group that has been used as a model for classes in more than 300 communities in 30 countries. He leads classes for people living with Parkinson's disease around the world and trains other teaching artists in the Dance for PD® approach. As a dancer, he performed with the Mark Morris Dance Group from 1997-2011, appearing in principal roles in some of Mark Morris' most celebrated works.
Dr Peter Lovatt
Dr. Peter Lovatt is a dance psychologist. Known for his many television appearances and lectures, he demonstrates with boundless energy the positive impact of movement on human thought and behaviour, as well as on the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. He is the author of "The Dance Cure: The surprising secret to being smarter, stronger, happier and Dance" and he is Director of Movement in Practice and cofounder along with Dame Darcey Bussell of Move-Assure Dance for Mental Wellbeing.
Mirjam Brocknäs
Miami Brocknäs is a gerontologist specialising in dementia and works as a director of a residence in the municipality of Upplands Bro. Mirjam regularly gives lectures and has for example been a member of an expert group at the Swedish Central Board of Health and Welfare on day care for people with dementia.Mirjam received on 27. April 2023 the Swedish award “ Best leader in the field of dementia 2023”
Joakim Stephenson
Joakim Stephenson a fréquenté l'école du Ballet royal de Suède à Stockholm et a rejoint le Ballet Royale de Suède dès la fin de ses études. Joakim a dansé de nombreux rôles différents et a travaillé avec divers chorégraphes connus. Il a eu l’opportunité de collaborer avec différentes compagnies de ballet, des artistes pop, la vidéo et la télévision, des personnes âgées, des étudiants et des réfugiés. Il a chorégraphié plusieurs opéras pour l'Opéra Royal de Suède à Stockholm. Joakim est un animateur certifié de Dance for Parkinson et il anime également des séances de danse pour les personnes atteintes de démence.
Dr. Olivier Bouquiaux
Dr Olivier Bouquiaux, neurologist at the University Hospital of Liège and in Libramont, is the initiator of Fit your mind/ Kinésiphilia, the first Belgian national organisation to offer dance classes specially adapted for Parkinson's patients and labelled Dance for PD®.
